How do I install Levor Flooring Tiles?

Standard engineered hardwood flooring installation methods should be used with Levor Flooring tiles. Professional installation is strongly recommended.

Where can I install Levor Mosaic Tiles?

Levor Mosaic tiles are extremely durable and can be installed anywhere in the house except as a shower wall or floor.

As a design element, Levor Mosaic combines easily with ceramic tiles. The Mosaic’s plastic mesh backing allows it to conform to the contours of the surface beneath.

The Ash, Bird Cherry, and Oak varieties of Levor Mosaic can be installed as flooring and staircase treads and risers using the standard procedure.

How do I install Levor Mosaic Tiles?

1. The tiles should be kept at room temperature for at least 48 hours before installation.

2. To install the tiles, use a non-water based urethane wood flooring adhesive with moisture vapor protection. Water-based adhesives should NOT be used.

3. For subsequent filling of seams, use non-sanded grout, one-component polyurethane sealant, or acrylic caulk in a suitable color. The grout can be applied once the adhesive has dried (approximately 24 hours).

4. Suitable adhesives and grout are available from companies such as Titebond, TEC, Custom Building Products, and Laticrete.

What is the proper way to clean Levor wood tiles?

To clean the Mosaic and Flooring tiles, wipe them with a damp cloth. Avoid using cleaning solvents to prevent damage to the wood finish.

How does Levor Mosaic compare to other tile materials?

Unlike ceramic, glass, or stone tiles, Levor Mosaic can tolerate large temperature changes. Further, they are impact resistant, so they will not crack like glass or ceramic tiles.

How are Levor Mosaic Tiles finished?

For a long-lasting, moisture-resistant finish, the tiles are coated with a protective layer of oil-wax polish made in Germany by Osmo. These treatments allow Levor Mosaic tiles to be used throughout the house, from tiling walls and columns, to kitchen islands and backsplashes.

What is the flame spread rating of Levor Mosaic tiles?

Levor Mosaic tiles have a Class B rating, per the ASTM E-84, International Building Code, Section 803.1 and NFPA 255. This rating signifies that Levor tiles may be installed safely in most interior spaces.
